TOYOTA LEASING ISSUE THE FIRST THB SOCIAL DEBENTURES OFFERING BY AUTO LEASING INDUSTRY IN THAILAND WITH COUPON RATE OF 2.74% P.A., 2-Year TENOR

Toyota Leasing (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (TLT) has successfully issue 2-year social debentures in January 2024 with coupon 2.74% per annum and total issue size of THB 1,000 million under THB 130bn Medium Term Note Program which will be used to finance or refinance Toyota vehicle models for Low-income earners in Thailand. The social debentures are fully guaranteed by Toyota Motor Finance (Netherlands) B.V., a company rated A+/A1 with stable outlook by S&P and Moody's, respectively. Both Toyota Leasing (Thailand) Company Limited and Toyota Motor Finance (Netherlands) B.V. are subsidiaries of Toyota Financial Services Corporation, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corporation, the group’s parent company.

This issuance is the First Social debenture transaction of the company and the First from Auto leasing sector in Thailand with AAA rating by TRIS. The use of proceeds under the eligible social category will go towards financing or refinancing of selected pools of loans and leases to Toyota vehicle models which will directly increase access to financial services to a specific target population, namely, Low-income earners or small-scale farmers in Thailand.

Issuing this social bond clearly represents TLT’s social commitment to enhance access to financial services in Thailand, in line with Toyota’s Philosophy to achieve the mission of “Producing Happiness for All”. Additionally, the eligible category will lead to social impacts and advancement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 1: No Poverty, Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth and Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities

Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited, and Bank of Ayudhya Public Company Limited are joint lead arrangers and joint sustainability structuring advisor for this issuance and Sustainalytics as Second Party Opinion to fulfill the Company’s achievement of ESG &SDG goals.
